Doing all my other ranking blogs from retro, group of 5, and power 5 I have chosen to talk about and show my top 25 secondary logos.
25. Texas A&M
Not looking too different from their current logo, Texas A&M has a nice secondary logo since it has the state of Texas in the background.
24. Kentucky
Kentucky has a nice secondary logo that includes the wildcat and the schools colors.
23. Houston
This one has the cougar which is the school mascot inside a navy blue oval.
22. Auburn
This is one of the best secondary logos since the tiger has yellow eyes which makes it look like a tiger hunting at night.
21. Pitt
Pitt came out with this secondary logo when they changed to the old royal blue and gold colors and it is one cool looking panther.
20. Penn State
This used to be their primary logo but then they chose to make this their secondary logo and go with their old logo. But this does not make it a bad looking logo simply because it’s a more realistic Nittany lion.
19. Marshall
The Thundering Herd’s secondary logo should be their primary logo since it has the angry buffalo with green eyes which is their primary color.
18. Oklahoma State
The Pistol Pete logo looks so good on their helmets which is why I put them on this list with the cowboy wearing a bandit mask and a cowboy hat.
17. Arkansas
This is one of my favorites because instead of having the charging hog they have the hogs face which is one of the best secondary logos.
16. LSU
I put LSU on this list because the single tiger eye (similar to Auburn) looks so good on midfield and is just a good looking secondary logo.
15. Alabama
A lot of people love the angry elephant secondary logo that Alabama has.
14. Rice
Rice has a very clean secondary logo with the screeching owl that is in the navy blue colors.
13. Georgia
The Dawgs have one of my favorite secondary logos since it has the bulldog with the primary logo on the collar.
12. FIU
A little like their current logo, FIU is on this list since it looks like a panther that is hunting in tall grass.
11. Miami (OH)
Miami (OH) is on this list since they have an angry red hawk and their team name is the Redhawks.
10. Tennesee
This one is just like Georgia with the logo on the collar but a little bit different having Tennessee Smokey on it.
9. Florida State
This is a simple logo but is looks cool with the spear that has the feather tied to it.
8. USC
The Trojans had this as their old logo but then they decided to make this a secondary logo and it is one of the best ones having the Trojan instead of block lettering.
7. Eastern Michigan
This logo mixes Eastern Michigan’s primary logo with the eagle on it which makes it look very cool and I think they should make this their primary logo.
6. Liberty
This one just has the eagle instead of the eagle with the LU. I think the eagle looks cool by itself since its red with grey shading.
5. Boston college
Instead of the eagle and the BC, it has the eagle flying next to the words Boston college and I think it looks really cool like this.
4. Mississippi State
This one is cool since is has Mississippi States mascot Bully walking over the teams primary logo.
3. Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern’s secondary logo has a lot of detail with the full eagle that is grabbing on to the words Georgia Southern.
2. UAB
This one is super similar to their primary logo but instead of showing the fire breathing dragons head it has the full dragon thats standing on its hind legs.
- Florida
This one easily got first since it has Albert the Gator on it wearing the same Florida Gators shirt that he wears at the games.
